Thinking Your Way To A Better Score

To any golfer who plays to a handicap of around 20, there can be a bit of anxiety when they try to break 90 in a round. All targets should be just out of reach so that you have to really stretch yourself. Yet if you approach this goal in a practical manner and with … Read more

Discipline In Golf

If more golfers applied the same level of discipline to their game as they do their careers, then maybe their golf could be as successful! Maybe – Maybe Not! Although it never ceases to amaze me that seemingly intelligent individuals believe they can play golf to a reasonable level at will.  Of course, very few … Read more

Setting SMARTER Goals

At some point in our lives most of us have experienced the need to want to get better at something or maybe to find a way to do something differently – to achieve an outcome that either makes us happy or one that avoids the feelings of fear or disappointment. Quite often we will set … Read more

In round 3 Will Roebuck shot his third consecutive 71 for a 3-round total of 213 which is 3 under par. In an ideal world he would be a couple of shots better off to give himself a cushion for tomorrow. But he never really got his game going and left a few putts out … Read more

Will had his worst day as a professional in round 4 and shot 79. He said that the windy conditions exposed his technical faults and he played poor golf. Q School Update

The next couple of days will also see players creating pressure for themselves which will have a negative effect on their game. I expect Will to move on up the order as he has a lot of belief in himself at this time.

Will Roebuck at Stage 2 Q-School

His target in Round 2 is to improve on Round 1. If he shoots just 1 shot better each round he will finish on 10 under par and that should be good enough to make it through to Final ‘Q’.

Are we being fair to Tiger

I have read many articles castigating Tiger for his infidelities. But is he really any different to many others who have gone before him and doubtless, others who will act in the same way in the future? Let’s face it, infidelity in marriage is fairly commonplace today but many people don’t like to admit that … Read more

Louis’ Red Spot

RYDER CUP 2010

Now that we’re only one week away from this year’s competition opinions are coming from players, captains, vice-captains and probably Uncle Tom Cobley! One can’t help but wonder how much is done for effect.

Do you play Perfect Golf?

I remember playing in a medal, at the time I was off a 5 handicap and I made double bogey on the first two holes. It was a real test of resolve to steady the ship and not go on to make a real big number. I remember questioning myself about all sorts of things, … Read more
