Order Of Merit Qualifier

The Order of Merit points are slightly higher for the Tour Major.

Merit points are usually awarded on the basis of 50 to the winner, 49 for 2nd, 48 for 3rd and so on.  But for the Majors the top ten will each receive an additional 10 points.  11th place and lower will receive the normal points allocation for their position.

About The Kendleshire

Golf is firmly at the heart of the Kendleshire Experience, and with 27 memorable championship holes spread over nearly 260 acres of the stunning Frome valley, it is no wonder.

Designed by Adrian Stiff, the Hollows and Ruffet Courses were opened in 1997 to much critical acclaim and they both feature a healthy amount of water, such as the “Island Green” 11th hole with Adrian’s trademark sleeper-banks, and provide a challenge to many a good scorecard.

The 11th Hole at the Kendleshire

The Peter McEvoy-designed Badminton Course opened in 2001, and was built to compliment its sister courses whilst adding an extra degree of challenge with its undulating greens.

Each of the three courses have their own stand-out holes, and when played in any combination offer tons of golfing enjoyment.

All of the greens are built to USPGA standard and are the foundation of the course’s reputation, and as such the club has always had a soft spikes only policy. This has paid rich dividends as far as maintaining the quality of the putting surfaces.

With a vibrant clubhouse, you can enjoy a beer or two watching from the terrace that overlooks the 18th green every shot up the final hole is always dramatic.
